Fireman Stealing from Hurricane Katrina Fund?

Monday, October 10, 2005

A Clark County Fireman is under police investigation after allegedly stealing $1500 from a Hurricane Katrina relief fund. The Firefighters Of Southern Nevada Burn Foundation were one of the agencies that were helping collect money for a Hurricane Katrina relief fund. However one of their members, Vance Planck has allegedly stole $1500 from that fund.

Vance Planck is likely to be charged for embezzlement, burglary, and felony theft. The money has been confirmed that it was deposited directly into his personal bank account.

I don't understand how a person could be compelled to take so much money from innocent victims of Hurricane Katrina. This is sad times indeed when people take money from others. All we can hope for is that there are not a lot more people scamming others like Vance Planck has allegedly done.
